Can you use Visa Gift cards to order from anywhere on the web that accepts VISA ?

My mom says you can use Visa Gift Cards, just like a credit card, but I have mixed feelings about that, because Gift Cards can't compare to Visa/American Express/or Mastercards. People take years establishing credit, and Gift Cards take minutes/instant credit. I don't need a long detailed answer, just a brief explanation. Can you use Visa Gift cards to order from anywhere on the web that accepts VISA ? THANKS !!

2. Yes you can! it works just like a credit card! however it will only let you spend up to the amount on the card.
3. yes, that is what they are for. it has the same amount of numbers as the normal visa credit cards and an exp date. They are just pre-paid and you don't have to pay it back unlike an average credit card.
4. Your mom is correct, visa gift cards are just like a debit cards with a visa logo on it. You are able to use the visa gift cards for purchases at places where credit cards are accepted. These types of cards do not have anything to do with your credit. They are basically gift cards that can be used anywhere credit cards are accepted.
