mastercard? i opened up a joint back account, which is in a different city than where i am now (about 2 hours away). they sent my fiance and i a mastercard debit card for each of us. well it turns out that the only way to activate the cards is to use them at an atm to get an inquiry. so we tried that and it does not work. the screen says the card is not valid. i called my bank and reported the problem and they said they would call me back, but they never did. the card completely unusable, which is odd because neither of the cards have ever been used before. there's money in the account, but we cannot access it because the card won't work. what can i do??? thanks in advance!

My credit card bank called me for two suspicious charges , over $ 800 each,made on my Mastercard (by the same person, for identical merchandise, for same amount), which I confirmed were fraudulent.
