can someone tell me what the reloadable prepaid visa cards are like for Commerce bank? Hi pplz, I kno that Commerce bank offers the Visa reloadable prepaid cards. I know that they're a little different than the ones in the pharmacies and what not, at least w. offering ss# and so forth (Commerce bank doesn't ask for a social security #, but ones in stores do). Can somebody tell me if their are other differences w. the Commerce bank card verses the ones in the stores? Do hotels accept prepaid VISA cards when reserving a room? Everytime I stay at a hotel and use my debit/credit card to reserve a room they hold onto money for days and days even after the bill is paid. This has caused me to have overdrafts in my bank account a few times. I was wondering if I bought a prepaid VISA card and put like $30.00 on it if it would suffice when asked to hold a hotel room when reserving it? Why do people pay more than face value for Visa gift cards? I've sold Visa gift cards on eBay and it boggles my mind that people pay more than face value for the gift cards. Right now, there is a $200 card selling for $300+! :confused: My question is, why would you pay so much more for such a card?
